| In 1987 we
were organized as a group of miniature book lovers and collectors and 1993
we have become a corporate society. Today we have over 90 members from
Germany and other countries.
Our society
is dedicated to the promotion of art and culture all around the miniature
book (maximum page size 100 x 100 mm). It is our objective to make this
book art inheritance better known to the public. The object of our society
is
-
to cultivate this
branch of book art, its history and craftsmanship traditions,
-
to organize exhibitions,
lectures and publications to encourage the public interest for this branch
of book art,
-
to exchange ideas,
information about and experiences with miniature books,
-
to cooperate with
publishers to influence the content, form and publication of future editions,
-
to promote collecting,
trading and buying of miniature books at our regular meetings and open
trade days.
In Germany there
are 2 other societies with which we cooperate:

Sammlerkreis
Miniaturbuch e.V. Stuttgart
We are a member
of
the Miniature Book Society USA and have first contacts with other societies
in Hungary and Russia. We would like more contacts with collectors, book
lovers and miniature book publishers from Germany and all over the world.
